Trade Adviser Assistant - Jakarta
Job Purpose
- The Trade Advisor Assistant reports to the Trade Advisor. The purpose of the role is to help the French based companies specialized in Industry, Transports, Infrastructures, energy, Environment to develop their business in Indonesia.
- Trade Consultancy:
- Market Analysis: provide tailor-made market feasibility and market opportunity studies (topics: Oil&Gas, Power, Air Transport, MRO, Environment, Infrastructure, Automotive…)
- BtoB Meetings: facilitate the prospection of French companies through matchmaking sessions with carefully selected Indonesian companies, with the eventual result of finding a right fit (potential customers, distributors, agents…)
- Setting up: advise and provide contacts on “how to set–up” a company in Indonesia
- Business Development:
- Prospection: develop and maintain a portfolio of customers using the services of the Economic Department
- Product Testing: introduce the French companies and their products to potential clients in
- order to better gauge the potential success of the product on the local market
- Project Management:
- Trade Shows: organize French Pavilions at the occasion of Indonesian events
- Trade Delegations: Enabled French companies to visit several areas by maintaining good relations with both the public and private sectors (sectors: Industry, Transports, Infrastructures, energy, Environment)
Requirements
- Languages: excellent knowledge of French grammar, spelling and academic vocabulary. English (fluent)
- Personality: Self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and business profit. Mature, credible, and comfortable in dealing with senior big company executives. Reliable, tolerant, and determined. Well-presented and businesslike. Keen for new experience, responsibility and accountability. Able to work extended hours on occasions when required.
- Business and Selling Skills: Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator
- Marketing: Able to communicate and motivate via written and social media. Understands the principles of marketing and advertising.
- Computer skills: Must be adept in use of MS Office 2010, particularly Excel and Word, and ideally Access or similar database to basic level, Internet and email.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Master in Engineering, Management or International Business – IPK > 3
- Languages: French, English
- Experience: junior
