- Overview of position: Counsel for Experienced Professional
Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing the full range of legal supports for upstream activities, including the following:
- Analyze and interpret national and international legislations potentially impacting to Company operations.
- Prepare, draft negotiate agreements with individuals, companies, non-government organizations, and governments.
- Involve and able to work in cross-functional teams and manage components of transactions by himself/herself. The individual must be able to initiate his/her task independently, build a strong relationship with stakeholders, have strong organizational ability and attention to detail, and the ability to deal with sensitive information in a professional manner.
- Provide advice and assistance through pre-litigation phases, direct litigation and settlement processes as well as manage external legal counsel services.
Qualification
- At least 3 years experience in Oil and Gas/Geothermal Industry.
- Education Background: S2 Law degree from reputable University.
- Have minimum 3 years in handling legal transactions - attorney work.
- Able to provide legal advice and counsel to directors, officers and others on any legal matters.
- Able to communicate complex issues in both Bahasa Indonesia and English effectively. orally and in writing.
- Demonstrate skill in providing timely and client-focused advice and counsel.
- Demonstrate skill and experience in working in teams and managing interpersonal. relationships.
- Willing to relocate to one of Chevron operations locations (Riau/East Kalimantan).

- Overview of position: Prior to his appointment as a permanent employee, the elected candidate must complete a Field Development Training program (FDT). FDT program is intended to equip candidates with knowledge and skills needed to work in the oil and gas industry. The program will be conducted via classroom training and assignments.
Qualification
- Only reserved for local residents as evidenced by Riau Riau have ID cards.
- Open to graduate high school or equivalent (IPA), SMK Engineering / STM (Machinery, Electrical, Instrumentation or Chemical) graduate year 2009-2010.
- Open to graduate high school or equivalent (IPA), SMK Engineering / STM year 2007-2008 who graduated at least 2 years working experience in oil and gas industry.
- at least 18 years old in April 2011.
- Priority will be given to 300 applicants with an average value of the highest national exam (listed in SKHU - Certificate of Examination Results) to follow the next selection process.
