ConocoPhillips Mechanical Engineer Vacancy

ConocoPhillips is an international, integrated energy company headquartered in Houston, Texas, and operating in more than 40 countries. As a Production Sharing Contractor for BPMIGAS, we operate many producing and exploration blocks in Indonesia. To support our expanding operations in Indonesia, ConocoPhillips is looking for talented Indonesian nationals to fill in the following position.


Mechanical Engineer
  • This Mechanical Engineer position will have the responsibility to provide mechanical engineering support and technical expertise for reliability improvement and resolution of mechanical equipment issues. Will be primary support person for technical issues pertaining to equipment such as centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, heat exchangers, diesel engines, reciprocating compressors.
Required & Preferred Skills/Competencies
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in the oil, and gas related industry.
  • Experience in RI Processes and Tools (RCM, DE, RCFA, Pareto).
  • Possesses good Mechanical Engineering skills.
  • Possesses good Mentoring / training skills Leadership / networking skills.
  • Knowledge of production operations.
  • Proficient computer skills including databases and SAP Plant Maintenance.
  • Experienced in Root Cause Analysis, Pumps, process control systems, maintenance and repair experience with major mechanical equipment, and SAP plant maintenance module.
  • Personal motivation and self learning ability.
  • Effective communicator at all levels, fluent in English oral and written.

Contract Management Analyst
  • This Contract Management Analyst position will have the primary responsibility to develop, implement and monitor Contracts Management Plan (CMP) and its Key Performance Indicator (KPI) to overview risks more comprehensively across procurement plans. Working closely with Contractor/Contract User/Contract Manager/Procurement Analyst and all related internal functions in developing and monitoring the CMP. Prepares, organizes and maintains contract records and files documenting contract performance and compliance. Have a general understanding of the business case and an appreciation of financial/analytical issues and profit and loss implications. Chaired the CMP kick-off meeting with Contractors. Perform other assignment related as instructed by his or her supervisor.
Required & Preferred Skills/Competencies
  • Minimum education of BA/BS in Law, Management, Industrial Engineering or any other discipline.
  • Must have Computer skill : Basic Computer Application (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Good oral &  written communication skills in English (TOEFL score> 550).
  • Minimum 3 years experience in procurement area.
  • Good knowledge on Fundamental of Procurement & SCM
  • Possess good capability in time management, business correspondence, commercial contracting, decision & risk analysis, Contract Management & Administration, negotiation & planning.
